![]() I’ll try to get some screenshots if I can duplicate this tomorrow. Could something have changed with an update to the mod? I’m almost positive I’ve never seen this on my earlier flights. That’s fine, I get why the external view is like that, but why am I seeing the cockpit HUD view offset? That feels like a bug to me. The center of my screen is pointed along the axis of flight path (velocity vector) while the plane itself is slightly angled into the wind. You get a similar idea of this effect if you switch to the external chase view. It will appear shifted to the left because the plane is slightly crabbed into the wind. Giving a 4/5 as I havent yet integrated it into my. By that, I mean if I’m flying with a strong cross-wind from the left, my HUD is not centered. This is flight simulator replica of F 18 Hornet cockpit Landing Gear Panel (home cockpit modules). When flying straight and level, the cockpit HUD display is offset to one side based on the velocity vector of the aircraft. There are many known and documented issues with the HUD on the forums, but I noticed something new (to me at least) for the first time today and wanted to see if others see this, and if so, if anyone has an idea what is causing it. I’m not sure if it also happens with the stock F/A-18 as I haven’t checked there yet. **Note: Screens may not represent the latest updated version.I’m posting in the 3rd Party category because I noticed this while flying the Super Warrior F/A-18 mod. Also, for better experience with the dynamic reflectións, it is HIGHLY recommended to disable static reflection from the "special tab" for the Hornet (se t reflections to "None") This mod, OVERRIDES the default DCS version of the cockpit, so, make sure no custom options are checked in the special tab menu of the hornet's cockpit liveries. MP version has been removed, it shouldn't be needed anymore. At some stage, ALL planes and cockpits were new and in pristine condition. I Still don’t quite understand making utterly worn-out, almost damaged cockpits, for the sake of 'realism'. Here you have a clean (ish) cockpit for the F-18. Added dynamic reflections for the canopy A bunch of files Ive created as part of designing and building a home cockpit for the F/A-18C. Clean cockpit for the F-18, single player only. Welcome to the First installment of our DCS F-18 learning series In this video, we embark on a captivating journey of discovery as we delve into the intrica. Improved dynamic reflection for DDI's and MPCD **Important: There is no longer need for 2 versions, since roughmet files don't seem to work for glass in 2.7 so there is only 1 version to install Id also refrain from recommending FC3 level aircraft as beginner rides. Fixed compatibility with the DCS 2.7 version There really isnt anything difficult to learn in DCS. Added detailed weathering effects to DDI's and MPCD displays Fixed DDI's missing textures since last upd ate Added weathering effect to the canopy glass material. I changed the color of the HUD glass by referring to the real F-18s video. MP IC pass version included (some glass effect wont be available when using this version like gauges, hud and canopy). Added very subtle glossy effect for the canopy edges. Slightly increased reflectivity of the canopy glass. Added weathering to canopy frame handles and wires (and material). Added detailed weathering for the gauges' glass surface. Added some material weathering over most visible parts. Added realistic dust effect over dashboard, arround screws and some other parts. Cleaned Hud dashboard both color and material. Improved DDI's and AMPCD material and weathering. Removed canopy reflections and added glass material instead. Analog gauges and AVTR cameras glass material. Hud and projector glass material with reflective effect. Removed most of the rugosity for parts that shouldn't have it from the bump maps so they have a smoother surface. Here I am with a new project I’ll work on for the next months Build a F/A-18 Cockpit for DCS starting with the UFC. Smaller IPD smaller person and thus the cockpit and. Larger IPD bigger person and smaller cockpit and world. ![]() It simulates the apparent change in size of the entire world based on an estimate of the distance between your eyes. ![]() Which makes the world feel bigger or smaller as a result. The FA-18C Cockpit Cosmetic Pack features: Nutshell: It makes you bigger, or smaller, as an entity. FA-18C Cockpit Cosmetic Pack is a cockpit texture pack with added details.
